Managers' Compass Community Sessions
COMMUNITY SESSIONS
Managers’ Compass Community Sessions are monthly, 60‑minute virtual learning opportunities designed to support anyone who manages others at the university. These sessions are free, interactive, and open to all employees with supervisory responsibilities, regardless of whether they are participating in the Managers’ Compass Program. Each session introduces a practical management topic and includes opportunities for engagement through discussion, reflection, and application activities. Sessions will not be recorded.
The Managers’ Compass Community Sessions are designed to achieve the following goals:
- Provide a safe space for managers to practice management skills through guided activities, scenarios, and peer discussions.
- Build a community of practitioners who learn together, share real‑world experiences, and support one another’s growth.
- Increase awareness and visibility of the Managers’ Compass program as one of the professional development opportunities offered through Human Resources.
- Offer opportunities for professional development partners across the university to engage with managers in a collaborative learning environment.
- Create a space to pilot and test new content that may be incorporated into the Managers’ Compass program or future training offerings.
